Welcome to Week Fifteen!

It’s time for a pedicure, for your puppy! In this week's Perfect Puppy column we have some tips on, "How to Trim Your Puppy's Nails."

Now that your puppy has learned to stay while your kids are moving all around her, it's time to teach her how to remain in that stay when they leave the room. The third of a three-part series on, "Teaching Your Puppy to Stay – Part 3" working with Clicker Training is this week's Kids & Puppies column.

Growling is good! It's your puppy's way of communicating something to you, yet so many people think they have to punish their puppy for growling! Quite the opposite. You should be grateful that your puppy does growl because in dog communication a growl precedes a bite. A growl is your puppy's first vocal communication that something or someone is crossing her personal boundary in some way. Never punish, hit, spank or scold your puppy for growling. Instead, teach her how she should be responding so she doesn't need to growl. Read this week's Understanding Your Puppy, "Growling is Good" for more information.

Do you have more than one dog in your house? Or maybe a dog and cat? Is it a challenge to get them to understand what you want when they're together? There is a process for training in a multiple dog household. This week’s Training For Success column talks about, "Training Multiple Dogs."

The MyPetTrainer.com and LostMyPet.com community is here to support you and your puppy! Please enjoy your Week Fifteen issue!

Together in success,
