You ask your dog to sit and before she does so she takes three or more steps away from you … then sits. This can actually be dangerous if you asked her to sit and she stepped backward into traffic, or into a child, or someone who doesn't like dogs, even into a patch of poison ivy! Let's explore the reasons this may be happening and what you can do about it, because sit means sit right where you are!
